Smooth-Latin
There was a time when music was classified as either Classical, Jazz or Latin.
As the years moved on variations have added new genres to the classifications.
Jazz mixed with funk became Jazz-Funk. Jazz fused with rock became known as
Jazz-Rock. The old fashion Bossa was revived with a more contemporary beat and
became the Bossa Nova (New Bossa). Jazz was then fused with traditional Latin
music, which is known as Latin-Jazz. Then there was „Smooth-Jazz“, a genre
crossover of easy listening R’n’B beats supporting a jazz solo.
It now pleases me to present to you the new kid on the block: Smooth Latin a mix of easy listening melodies embedded in Latin Pop beats. In short - Smooth-Jazz à la Latin.”
